8. DETAIL DESCRIPTION
FOR CALIBRATION OF
RE-TRANSMISSION
OUTPUT.
Retransmission output is required
to be calibrated at both Zero and Span.
Calibration is done at fixed point at 4mA
and 20mA.
For Retransmission output Calibration go
to RTRZ prompt in calibration mode, now
press INC or DEC key, this displays the
value of current 4mA (4.000 on display)
as output. Measure the output current at
this point on six times better accurate
measuring
instrument.
Adjust
the
current value at zero side using
increment or decrement key equal to the
value as seen on output current
measuring unit. Then press SET1 key to
enter the value. Repeat the same
masibus
procedure at the span at RTRS prompt.
On RTRS prompt, press INC or DEC key,
this displays the value of current equal
to 20mA (20.000 with digit 2 flashing).
Adjust this value equal to the value as
seen on the current measuring unit.
Then press SET1 key to enter the value.
After entering the current value at the
span, the unit under goes one shot
Calibration
of
output.
Now
the
Retransmission output is calibrated. For
One shot calibration both zero and span
calibration
is
to
be
carried
out
sequentially, one after another in one
shot.
RTRZ 4.000:
Retransmission zero output value 4mA.
RTRS20.000

value
20mA.
Note: Note during calibration of the unit
calibrate the ambient only if required.

Maintenance:

General Problems:
Unit Resetting.
Check the proper input terminal connection.
If Input Range is 0-5V or 1-5V then maximum voltage should be less than
10V & minimum voltage should be greater than -3V.
Supply Voltage.
Supply voltage should be given through a good isolation transformer. This being a
microprocessor based instrument, a massive voltage spike can damage it. A good
isolation transformer shields the instrument from such voltage spikes and surges.
All supply connections to final control devices such as contactors, solenoids etc.
must be taken directly from the supply and not from the supply terminals of the
instrument.
