When I became aware of the opening at your company, I was overjoyed to apply for the position.
I know that HDR Incorporated would be the perfect place to apply and augment my problem
analysis and solving skills. In addition, I could utilize my knowledge of design and physics to
help create more efficient infrastructure for the rest of society. My teamwork skills,
determination, and passion for this field could greatly benefit the HDR team.
Through my various extracurricular and job experiences, such as the application of engineering
principles at Precision Machine and drafting practice, I am confident that I would be a valuable
candidate for your team. Days spent working with tool and dye have exposed me to the
discipline that I fully intend to devote myself to. My six years spent playing football and track
have greatly elevated my teamwork skills when working with people who could be very different
than myself, as well as mental determination. Hours, days, weeks, and months spent practicing
and training have taught a mental toughness that could not be achieved anywhere else. When
giving up seems like the easiest option, that is when I have learned to push the hardest. By
volunteering for the National Honor Society, I have given over 35 hours of service back to the
community. Giving back is a tremendously rewarding experience, which is why I intend to
pursue a career that provides the same. Throughout my education I have taken only the highest
math and science courses. I have taken far more than what was expected only to expand my
knowledge base for the sake of learning. My drive is unparalleled which would undoubtedly be
a great addition to your company.
