SPES

Juliet believes that the most beautiful things in life cannot be captured or described in words. I
agree with that statement, because in todays world when something happens we often say
something similar to Im at a loss of words. Even in the play multiple times words try to
describe an important event. In act two scene two, Romeo and Juliet pronounce their love to
one another and their plan of marriage. Yet as you read scene two it comes across as if they are
just babbling sweet things to each other, while they are deeply in love. Also in act two scene six,
it tells us how Romeo and Juliet are finally getting married. This is arguably on of the most
important scenes, though it is one of the shortest. That is because many big and important
times in our life cannot be captured with words. That is why I agree with Juliet doubting the
value of words.
