My warm greetings and congratulations to the 8 th Infantry

(Stormtroopers) Division, Philippine Army for their Year End Issue
2016 of the Stormtroopers News Magazine themed New 8ID
Team for Reinvigorated Bayanihan. This goes to show another
fruitful year of so much significant accomplishments of the Division
in support to the AFPs Bayanihan undertakings in the region.
The 8ID has always been an essential ally of the Provincial
Government of Eastern Samar in its steadfast quest for total peace
and development in the province.
It has been proven and
immortalized by the fast growing number of municipalities being
declared as insurgency-free and now ready for development and
investments. It might be true that we still have a long way to go.
But I am confident with our cohesive partnership, and for sure, we
will never fail.
As we close the doors of 2016, I sincerely pray for our
continued year-long venture in 2017, towards overcoming challenges
in our concerted fight against poverty, corruption, illegal drugs and
criminality. May this season of hope open up portals which will give
you more vigor and strong resolve to withstand the obstacles in the
performance of your solemn oath of serving our country and all
humanity.
