Design a Vehicle Activity

Your task: Design a motor-powered vehicle that will travel 4 metres.

skewers, dowels, straws, pencil crayons
plastic or wooden containers, cardboard, milk or juice cartons
AA cell, C cell, 9 volt, electric motor with pulley (with motor
mount)
insulated wires, paper clips, paper fasteners, brads, straws,
scissors, low temperature glue gun, aquarium tubing, screw
eyes

Method:
1. Brainstorm different types of vehicles: motorcycles, three wheel,
trucks, dragsters.
2. Draw and label a diagram of your vehicle.
3. Explain how your vehicle works.
4. Construct your vehicle.
5. Test your vehicle and record the distance it travels.
6. Modify your vehicle.
7. Make a list of the materials you used.
