Action Plan
Help the Middle class in economy.
To bring back fairness and to strengthen the heart of the Canadian economy.
Well cut the middle class tax rate by seven percent.
Bring it down from 22 to 20.5 percent. Thats a $3 billion tax cut for the people who need it most. Well pay for it by
asking wealthy Canadians to do a little more. Well introduce a new tax bracket for the top 1 percent on incomes
over $200,000. Because Canadians who can, have always been willing to help.

Health Care
To help families make better food choices, we will:

Introduce new restrictions on the commercial marketing of unhealthy food and

beverages to children, similar to those now in place in Quebec;
Bring in tougher regulations to eliminate trans fats, similar to those in the U.S., and to
reduce salt in processed foods; and
Improve food labels to give more information on added sugars and artificial dyes in
processed foods.
