Introduction
-to investigate the specific mass flow rate measurement in pipes supplied with a
pulsating flow which the purposed method is especially useful in case applying 1-D
model that allow to handle flow parameter attributable to pipe axis

Methodology and material

-test rig configuration;
1)consist of cyclic deceleration of the flowing gas by rotating valve
2)composed of straight circular pipe with diameter 43mm and it was supplied with
warm and compressed air with frequency f=0-200Hz
-CTA(constant temperature anemometer) mounted upstream of the pulse generator
near the pipe axis.

Result and discussion

-in the case of resonance, frequency depending on pipe lengh,an intensive reverse
flow occur and inversion of velocity.
-peak generator curve was applied in order to compare successive plot.

Conclusion
The flow field show that mass flow rate can vary depending on the
flow(steady,unsteady) and pulse frequency.

Introduction
-

To investigate heat transfer in fully developed turbulent pipe flow numerically

by use of direct numerical simulation(DNS) and large eddy simulation(LES)

Methodology
-using (LES) the wall temperature fluctuation are assumed to be zero and the
dimensionless temperature boundary condition is 0=0.
-cylindrical coordinate with a computational length in the axiak direction L=15R for
DNS and L=20R for LES.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

-present LES calculation of turbulent heat transfer is achieved by comparing LES
prediction for N=0 to the DNS rotation.
-the rotation effect exhibit influence on the wall normal heat flux.

CONCLUSION
-developing LES model which take into account the turbulence promoted by high
rotation to improve the LES result.
