to the Risks Identified

Redundancy in Design A solution

to the Risks Identified (contd..)

Loss of internet connection from the Internet Service

Provider (ISP)
 Loss of power at site

connection is lost?
Will client not able to operate in event of power

outage?

 Redundancy in the Network Design

Designing two circuits Primary and Disaster

Recovery (from different ISPs). Why? Importance?

Primary circuit Connectivity to everybody in the office
Disaster Recovery circuit limited connectivity to

important servers and services

Every workstations will be switched to the DR circuit,

if primary circuit went down

Client can operate normally even in disastrous
situation.

What we will be doing?

How we will be doing?

We would be installing UPSs (Uninterrupted Power

Supply)
Each floor gets one UPS with two batteries
Worth 20 hours of power backup
In event of power outage, all the network devices will

be fed by UPSs until power is restored

Importance? Client will not suffer with network outage

in event of power outage

When we will be doing what?

Brief Schedule

Conducting Site Surveys - We will survey the sites to

determine what equipments are needed and how

many?
Preparing specifications Based on site surveys result
we will prepare asset list and types
Design Primary Circuit We will be designing the
primary circuit
Design Disaster Recovery (DR) Circuit We will be
designing the DR circuit.
