Review by Tom

In the beginning of his work Brao introduces us to problem of male heroes in

fairy tales and describes why it is important to know them. He divides them into
categories according to all sorts of criteria like activity, background, wisdom
and so on. The text was easy to read and optically looked very good. I liked that
he used quotes form books. It is obvious that he has done a lot of research and
he has good knowledge of this area. Overall I can say that this work fulfilled its
purpose.

Branislav handled the topic about the types of male heroes in fairy tales very well
and the whole text was well organized, readable and clear. I liked how he gave
us, the readers, the examples not only from the books, but also from the recent
movies or TV series, especially that one in connection with Mr. Bean a foolish
hero. I was always thinking, that male heroes in the fairy tales do not have such a
big role in the narrative like female heroines, but now I can see, that it is hardly a
true and male heroes play a role in it, however, this does not apply to fathers.
