Mathematics
In math this term, students will be working on their
conceptual understandings of numbers to
ten. They will be working on various activities that
help them count an irregular arrangement of up to
ten objects. Students will also explore many
activities that focus on estimating objects, using
the language of more and fewer when comparing
two sets of objects, and understanding what
numbers come before and after.

General Reminders
Library: Please return books
every Monday.
Hats: Please make sure that
your child has a hat each day.
Home Readers: Please send them
each week.
Labelling Clothes Please make
sure that every item of clothing
is clearly labelled with your childs
name.
Swimming on Tuesdays: Please
be sure to send goggles, sun
lotion, flip-flops, underwear, and
a towel.

Literacy
During literacy this term, students will begin our
story workshop. Students will be looking at
concepts of story writing such as characters,
settings and beginning, middle, and end of
stories. Students will be working on letter
formation through various literacy activities. They
will continue learning letter sounds and begin
segmenting and blending sounds together for early
reading.
