‘To Whom it May Concern,
Thave known Jaclyn Hunter for four years, while she served as a Resident Assistant (RA). [have had the honor of
serving as het supervisor throughout several hiting cycles.
‘The RA experience requires much more than the average part-time college job. As a campus leader, her position
carries four primary roles: administrative responsibilities, community building, mentoring/student support, and
secutity/crisis response. We ask so much from RAs and expect them to perform at the highest levels while
balancing their lives in academia, full-time co-ops, extracurticular activities and their roles as RAs. Jaclyn
continuously distinguished herself as a cating and thoughtful steward of the Northeastetn community. She has also
been an amazingly dedicated team member willing to support others at a moment's notice.
Jaclyn has reliably fulfilled all duties that were assigned. She faithfully organized keys, submitted paperwork,
inspected apartments, and reported facilities concerns. ‘This is a heavily administrative position, yet, I had no
concerns with Jaclyn’s performance because she’d complete all tasks and remained organized by proactively ereating
timelines for herself and astonishing me with her ability to complete everything ahead of schedule, Furthermore,
she'd continuously alert me to issues that arose with both my staff and our community.
As a pillar of our community, Jaclyn acts as a resource for other students by guiding them through the college
experience. She reaches past department requirements to plan 15-20 events per year that are both engaging and
developmental. This requires her to plan activities far in advance, skillfully market and execute a wide array of
events. She did so by developing close relationships with her students and programming to their unique needs. She
also gets to know each of her 40-60 residents on a personal level. Jaclyn does her best to provide a safe and
inclusive environment that is educational and enriching for our diverse student population.
Jaclyn has made a lasting impact on her residents as a mentor. She is open and available to our residents; many who
deal with troubling circumstances. She has successfully guided those navigating their options in academics or career
paths, mediated roommate conflicts, coached students dealing with depression, and supported our community after
tragedy.
During her time as an RA, she has equally served our students and fellow staffers. Ihave been impressed by many
of Jaclyn’s character traits including her empathy, diligence, integrity, project management, teamwork and
leadership. In short, she has been a pleasure to work with. I've even heard great things from the other 14-17
members of our staff regarding their relationships with her.
From all that I have witnessed, I know that she will prove herself an indispensable member of your team. Give her
the opportunity to amaze you. She is the glue that bonds groups together and pushes them towards a united
goal. Her reliability and professionalism ate not to be missed. She is surely one candidate you will never regret this
chance. I proudly and resoundingly recommend Jaclyn Hunter.
Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to further discuss Jaclyn,
Sincerely,
AO SLE
