ABSTRACT

Introduction:
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a networking paradigm where interconnected, smart objects
continuously generate data and transmit it over the Internet. Much of the IoT initiatives are
geared towards manufacturing low-cost and energy-efficient hardware for these objects, as well
as the communication technologies that provide objects interconnectivity. The need for
connecting and integrating the massive amount of devices at a global scale has naturally led to
the IoT vision. There are two main challenges in IoT: anytime connectivity and communication
with anything. Todays Internet is based on the host-to-host communication paradigm.
Traditional database management solutions fall short in satisfying the sophisticated application
needs of an IoT network that has a truly global-scale. Current solutions for IoT data management
address partial aspects of the IoT environment with special focus on sensor networks. In this
work, the data delivery methods are surveyed and the solutions to provide data at consumer end
in time is proposed for IoT or subsystems of the IoT.
Importance :
In this work, the delay of packets and messages in IoT system will be investigated.
Methodologies in delivering data at the consumer end in time is taken care and algorithms is
developed to solve the problem of delayed packets and messages. The main aspect examined is
congestion at the application and transport level.
The framework provides data delivery solutions that adhere to delivery and connectivity
considerations of integrated architectures in IoT. Theoretical analysis and simulations is carried
out in this approach with considering data delivery schemes in realizing IoT performance
requirements.
Methodology :

Theoretical and mathematical model is derived for analysis and simulations.

Analysis are preformed to control congestion that affects the delay time.
The proposed IoT architecture is simulated using NS-3 and Matlab.
