Shots of a letter at quirky angles flash on the screen. The
audience are unable to see what the letter says. This transitions to a man quickly typing on his typewriter as if what hes writing is very urgent. The credits roll over these shots. The man, WILLIAM HAWES, continues to type on his typewriter, he pours himself a shot and drinks it. Suddenly a letter slips under his door. He takes a moment to regard the letter and then walks over to pick it up. He opens the letter and reads it, enclosed with it is also a photo of a beautiful woman. After he has read the letter, he looks and up and thinks for a moment. WILLIAM (V.O.) I cant believe she agreed to meet me. She is so beautiful, like a rose, but theres a reason that roses have thorns. He looks back down at the picture of the woman. Fades to black.
