Magazines use styles of writing and language that suits their target audience in

order to try and appeal to them so they become regular readers. By using text
and language that a target audience relates to, a magazine can gain brand
loyalty from readers as they will enjoy reading the magazine. Some magazines
such as music use more advanced language for their text which will appeal to
their target audience; the older, more sophisticated readers. Magazines such as
XXL tend to have a younger target audience so in order to appeal to it, use up
to date terminology and focus is mostly placed on new artists. I have a young
target audience for my magazine so I am going to use current language in my
text which will appeal to the younger music magazine readers.
