Place the oats in a blender or food processor and pulse until they
reach a flour-like texture. Now place the oats in a mixing bowl
and add in the cinnamon and chocolate whey protein powder.
Next add in the peanut butter and mix thoroughly.
Mash your bananas and add them to this mixture, along with the
honey and egg whites. Mix well. Finally, add the skim milk and mix
again.
Pour batter into a 9x9 or 9x13 greased baking pan. You may also
use a pan lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean
from the center of the pan. Allow the bars to cool and then cut
into 6 bars. You may also cut them into 8 servings if you prefer a
lower calories, lower protein bar.
If using a 9x9 pan the bars with be a little thicker. Cooking time
may vary.

Mine have just come out of the oven, very strong taste of banana, which is a bit
disappointing as I was hoping for the chocolate peanut butter to be the primary flavors
- but next time will just use one, or even no banana's

Mehhh these are super bland and more like a dense cakey texture. I added coconut
and chico chips in it, as well as a little nutmeg and stevia but it didn't help much.
Instead of regular pb I used PB2 powdered pb. I also added a little bit less banana after
reading the comments. I melted some chocolate to spread on top and that really helps,
however, it makes it significantly more sugary/carby. If I try again I'll add more pb,
maybe the real stuff, some cocoa powder, and who knows what else. Maybe some
nuts?

Million ways you can change or add to this recipe but all and all this is very good for a
baked bar/brownie. The protein you choose will make all the difference in taste
depending on what your target is. First yes they are very runny and bake times will
change depending on size of pan you choose just keep checking to make sure you
dont over cook. If you like the more peanut butter taste try the Jiff whips and us a
small amount to lightly top it off as a frosting. Also fyi store in the fridge to keep fresh
and last longer.

Just finished the first batch. 18mins + 5 mins + 5 mins more... now cooling down.
Strong taste of banana, the chocolate and peanut butter are minimal. Also when it said
a protein bar I expected a more harder and crispier kind of result. But it is actually very
soft and moisty. I am an amateur at baking and there is something wrong here.

I made this and wasn't too happy with the results. I think it might be the bananas. If I
don't add the bananas, would it taste more like a brownie?

these are good, but a metric conversion would be a lifesaver, i understand most of
your readers must be american but if you are using metric for nutritional info i'm sure
it would'nt take long to do the same for the recipe. took me a few attempts to get the
quantities right.

Not sure exactly what the picture is of cause mine don't look like that. I don't think the
fact that I used almond milk instead of skim had anything to do with it. They are not
terrible and way cheaper than buying them. I guess next time I will play around with
the measurements.

Cashew butter, almond butter, should be ok since these are tree nuts not
legumes. I'd be wary about soy since most people with nut allergies don't seem
to tolerate it at all.

Well they are out. Really soft n moist! I think next time one less banana, a handful of
some chopped nuts, ans a ill more peanut butter. The banana taste is strong...but
when dealing with any type of plant base your going to have to play it by chance. I
wanted a more choclate peanut butter taste but it was still much better than anything
in the store. Think protein powder makes a difference to. I used syntha 6 chocolate
peanut butter and did two scoops of that so will try different powder later.

This looks great, just one question, when you say "2 scoops"....how much is a scoop? I
have several different sized scoops...as far as I know a scoop is not a standardised unit
of measurement.
