Edit the backdrop. You can open the backdrop by clicking on the
picture labeled "Stage" on the left side of the Sprites menu, then
clicking the "Backdrops" tab at the top of the scrips area. Fill in the
background with walls and other colors as you see t. Remember running into anything black will send Sydney back to the start, so only
use blackfor obstacles.
Create newcostumes. Not happy with how Sydney looks? Want to
make each enemy look like an octopus, or a star, or a bird? Selectthe
sprite you want to change fromthe Sprites menu, then click the
"Costumes" tab at the top to edit. Just make sure your new sprite ts
within a square in the stage area!
Explore the current rules. If you haven't seen them already, the rules
for these puzzles look just like the scripts you've been writing all along,
plus a few additional blocks we haven't used much yet. You can look at
these scripts by clicking Sydney or a villain sprite and scrolling around
the scripts area.
Add new rules. Why stick to walls, portals, and enemies? If you have
an idea for how to make these puzzles more interesting, go for it. You
can make new sprites and new scripts to turn this puzzle into
whatever you like.
After Unit 4, you'll know a lot more about how to build your own projects
in Scratch, so if this activity seems a bit tough right now, feel free to
come back to it later.
