Diarrhoeal diseases deserve special attention because in addition to the
numbers of pain, which is still high, the disease can also cause an outbreak that
eventually led to extraordinary events (KLB) and this disease can also cause death
if not treated seriously. Data Primary Health Centre Palembang 10 diseases are the
biggest in 2013 the number of occurrences of diarrhea in infants and toddlers as
many as 857 (16%) cases in the year 2014 the number of cases of diarrhea in
infants and toddlers as much as 725 (13:04%) and increased again in 2015 the
number of prevalence of diarrhea in infants and toddlers as much as 976
(17.56%).
The purpose of this study knew analyzes the incidence of diarrhea in infants
in Primary Health Centre Palembang in 2016. The method used is quantitative
descriptive method with cross sectional design. The population in this study are all
mothers who bring infants to the Primary Health Centre amounting to 4,086
toddlers. The sample in this study amounted to 98 respondents. The result showed
a good knowledge of respondents with 85.7%, 72.4% higher income, higher
education 81.6% and the incidence of diarrhea in infants 76.5%.
Results of bivariate analysis there is a relationship between knowledge and
the incidence of diarrhea (p value = 0.029), education and the incidence of
diarrhea (p value = 0.044) and income with the incidence of diarrhea in health
centers TBs in 2016 (p value = 0.026).
Suggested for Primary Health Centre is expected to provide education on
the knowledge, income, and education (independent variable) and the incidence of
diarrhea (dependent variable) and provide management to the patient so as to
avoid an increase in the incidence of diarrhea in mothers who have children.
