The project initiated in 4 distriets of Rajasthan - Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, Rajsamand and Udaipur, has been successful in bringing together about 3,700 rural women and has weaved them into 215 self-help groups. These women have been given professional training in various vocational steams including handicraft, embroidery, terracotta & tailoring, vegetable cultivation to name a few, in collaboration with ‘Center for the study of Values' and ‘Vishwas Sanstham’, Udaipur. To bring literacy amongst these women, Hindustan Zinchas been ‘organizing ‘Adult Literacy Camps’ focusing on providing basic ‘education to all SHG women.
