ABSTRACT

Organic waste is items are considered obsolete and disposed by the owner
or user before, but it can still be used if it is managed with the right procedure.
Organic waste is waste that can undergo decay or decomposition of materials and
breaks down into smaller and does not smell that is often referred to compost.
Compost is the result of weathering of organic materials such as leaves, straw,
weeds, trash, grass, and other similar materials weathering process is
accelerated by human assistance.
Bio-briquettes is an alternative fuel that resembles charcoal, but it is made
or composed of non-wood materials. Bio-briquette is made by pyrolysis (burning
an-aerobic). This research aims to find an alternative fuel for the housing needs
that could reduce dependence on fuel. Alternative fuel bio-briquettes are made
from dried leaves litter bins called bio-briquettes.
From the overall results of the research,, obtained that Jackfruit leaves 15
grams with the addition 3 gram of coconut shell charcoal who has the best time of
boiling water. And Rambutan leaves 18 grams with the addition 3 grams of
coconut shell charcoal has the longest flame and well.
