Dear Parents,
Thank you for a great start to the new school year! I am reaching out to share
some important news regarding testing. Our testing window has arrived and
administration of Pre-tests will begin on Friday, September 9th. All grade levels
will complete a pre-test in math and language arts. Eighth grade students will
complete science as well.
In preparing for the tests, please help us out with the following:
1. Make sure your child gets plenty of rest the night before the test.
2. Encourage your child to eat a good breakfast, either at home or school.
3. Please make sure your child arrives to school on time. Students cannot
be admitted into the testing room once testing has begun.
4. Please do not sign your child out early.
5. Ensure your child does not have his/her cell phone. Cell phones are not
allowed in the testing room or during breaks. Any student found or
observed with a cell phone/electronic device during testing time
must be dismissed from testing and a misadministration declared for
that student. (Test Coordinators Policies and Procedures Handbook,
2016)
Please see the outlined schedule for these assessments. Make up days will be
Thursday, September 15th and Friday, September 16th.
