KC 191 P/N 065-0054-15, S/N 1008 and below.
KC 192 P/N 065-0042-15, S/N 1345 and below.
Units with serial numbers above those stated have Mod 18 incorporated during original
manufacturing.
REASON
To reduce the capactive coupling on pitch attitude lines.
DESCRIPTION
This modification consists of changing the value of four resistors.
COMPLIANCE
Recommended.
WARRANTY INFORMATION
Warranty credit or payment will be issued for this modification if the unit is still under the
original new product warranty, and the modification is completed by an appropriately
rated AlliedSignal Service Center. A properly completed warranty claim for two (2.0)
hours labor plus parts may be submitted.
APPROVAL
This modification does not affect the original approval.
MANPOWER
Two (2.0) hours labor including testing.

of this bulletin.
MODIFICATION PROCEDURE
1.

Remove the top cover, and loosen and fold out the top board.

2.

Refer to Figures 1and 2 of this bulletin. Locate and remove R142, R1143, R1144,
and R1145.

3.

Install new resistors R1142 and R1144 using 39.2 KOhm 1% resistors, P/N 13903922-0000. Also install new resistors R1143 and R1145 using 200 KOhm 1%
resistors, P/N 139-2003-0000.

4.

Reassemble the unit and perform a complete functional test.

IDENTIFICATION PROCEDURE
Stamp an X on the modification section of the Unit Serial Tag to indicate that Mod 18 is
complete.
TESTING PROCEDURE
Perform a complete functional test of the unit in accordance with Section 5 of the
Maintenance Manual.
