To Whom it May Concern,

I first started working with Moksha in the late 90s when she stunned me with
her unbelievable sense of design and originality coupled with a tremendous
work ethic. As a director I need to know that the Costume Designer is telling
the characters stories in a subconscious yet definite way. Even when I hired
Moksha to design the remake of the childrens book/movie Where the Red
fern Grows I was astonished by the infinite details she was able to incorporate
into what could be perceived as a design limiting project. Every costume she
designed for every scene had thought and character development incorporated
into its execution. It is a tough thing to do, especially on limited budgets, but
she was always successful at it.
As a producer, it is imperative to not only hire department heads that are
creatively talented, but understand and appreciate budget and congeniality.
Even in the most difficult circumstances, Moksha handles herself with grace
and professionalism. One example was when Ned Beatty made his way to a
small town in Oklahoma for his first day of filming a full 6 sizes larger than he
had claimed. Without fanfare or embarrassing the well established actor,
Moksha drove to Tulsa and bought a complete new wardrobe on her credit
card. The next day, the actor began filming without any adverse impact of his
mishap.
Were soon coming up on knowing each other for 20 years and Moksha is and
will always be someone whos at the top of my recommendation list for one
simple reason: she has the least shortcomings of any Costume Designer I know.
None I can think of. To be extremely creative, budgetary conscious and have
an uplifting personality to have as part of the production is the best way I could
ever describe a member of a crew. Im happy to have had the chance to work
with her on numerous occasions.
