sia Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA), a jointly organised programme by the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC)
and the Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia (PIKOM), announces Prestariang Systems
Sdn Bhd as winner for the "Best of e-Inclusion & e-Community" category for 1Citizen.
The MSC MalaysiaAPICTA 2013 award ceremony, held in InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, sees a total of 35 participants
consisting 17 individual category winners and 18 merit recipients honoured within their respective
categories. Prestariang Systems Sdn Bhd (Prestariang) competed with five (5) other outstanding
companies such as IT Paradise Solutions Sdn Bhd, ISITI-CoERI and EBSM in the category of "eInclusion & e-Community".
Prestariang's 1CITIZEN is a special training programme that fosters national unity via appropriate use
of technology. It promotes the concept of 1Malaysia digitally by instilling the positive values in using
technology appropriately while fostering unity in a multi-ethic society, via IC CITIZEN Certification.
Prestariang was awarded for the contract from Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Malaysian
Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to train 80,000 students and 40,000 community
broadband users over a period of 2 years. 1CITIZEN has a global commercial value. Some of the
outstanding achievement when Prestariang localised IC CITIZEN model for UAE, Brunei. Prestariang
has also created downstream programmes such as IC CITIZEN Lite for secondary schools and
teenagers.
