Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace (by Anthi Dourougideni)

I want to summarize the presentation of. Harassment and discrimination is a


common problem. Discrimination can be divided into two types. The direct form,
where you treat someone differently for a specific reason and the indirect form.
This form includes policies and requirements, which seem to be fair but treat
people unfairly and have a negative effect on them. There are also different types
of harassment. Age harassment, racial harassment and sexual harassment are
some of these types. Its important to know that employees in all stages of
employment are legally protected from discrimination by law. Moreover its
important to have strict anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies in the
workplace that have to be known by every employee. Furthermore its a fact that
everyone can be a victim of discrimination. Due to this the fight against it isnt a
matter of honour, it is a question of humanity.
