    The Legacy of a Pastor


    Congratulations Gary and Jerrie Burton, along
    with Pintlala Baptist Church, for 45 years of ministry together as pastor, pastor's wife and
    church family. On January 9, 1972, Gary and his
    family arrived from New Orleans Baptist
    Theological Seminary to become Pintlala's
    pastor. They never left. There are only five
    Alabama Baptist pastors who can presently
    state such a distinguished tenure. We, at the
    Montgomery Baptist Association, owe a debt of
    gratitude to Gary for his senior statesmanship
    through the years. We are blessed by Pintlala's
    partnership in the gospel.
    God has given Montgomery Baptists the very
    best in pastors. At this writing, we have seven
    SBC churches seeking their senior leader. In
    recent days the Lord has added Pastor Daniel
    Edmonds (Chisholm) and Pastor Donnie Dickens
    (Catoma) to our MBA family. Please keep them
    close to your hearts and in your prayers as you
    give them a hearty River Region welcome.
    Mary and I are thrilled to be on mission with you.
    Thanks for all your prayers, encouragement and
    support.
