And we plot and show this relationship by graphs. Theory Many equations and methods is put to study the prosperities of the steam , one of these is Clausius-Claperon equation which relates the slope of temperature pressure curve at any state inside the dome with the steam tables properties for this state so in this experiment the relation will studied {aT (dP) =T*Vp/ bag where : T + Temperature Py: Gauge pressure Ps Absolute pressure Poem Atmospheric pressure he Deference between Specific enthalpy of saturation vapor and liquid Vs Specific value of saturation vapor -Data Collected: Barametric Pressure = 0.9 Bar 1 Bar = 100 KPa Steam Temperature | Gauge | Absolute -—————— Peraure Mean Increasing Decreasin Pressure Pressure 9 3 Temperature (Bar) Pressure Pressure _ ° (Bar) Temp .°C | Temp. °C { ‘ [09 | 95 [97.2 96.1 [49 115.8 117.9 [116.85 29 128.6 130.8 129.7_ 3.9 140 142.2 [1414 49 147.9 150 148.95, 59 155.1 187.3 156.2 6.9 161.2 163.4 [162.3 79 167.1 (169.0 168.05 8.9 172 174.2 173.1 [9.9 [177 [179.1 178,05 [f0.9° 9 F181.1 183.3 182.2 _ 11.9 185.3 187.4 186.35 12.9 [189 189 189 ° t 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 -Sample Of Calculations: - For Table: We take gage pressure = O Bar , Then Absolute Pressure = Gage Pressure + Barometric Pressure | 0 + 09 = 0.9 Bar For mean temperature we take steam temperature for increasing Pressure = 95 °C , and steam temperature for decreasing temperature = 97. a °C, then Meanraiporanee St mperature for decreasing prescure >For Graph: Fx perme bal dy? Based on the graphs, the relationship between pressure and temperature is directly Proportional while there is a small deviation between the experimental slope and the theoretical slope. Sources of errors are measurements or reading accuracy, room temperature and pressure, the stability of materials and calculations. When the liquid absorbed enough heat energy, it will change to vapor form. As the steam is not allowed to exit, it will cause an increase in pressure and thus causing the temperature to increase. Applications of Marcet Boiler include water boiler, gasifier, power plant and cooking utilities. 7 In this experiment, the relationship between pressure and temperature is found to be directly proportional, When compared to the theoretical slope, the experimental slope shows a small deviation between them because of certain errors. The percentage of error ranged from 0.3% to 44% which can validate this experiment.
