Dead:
People who are interested zombies, horror and adventure.
Also a lot of people might like the gory scenes that The
Walking Dead has to offer.
Are the audience of The Walking Dead passive or active?

Why?
Because lots of people are talking about it either when a
new episode is out or when they first start watching it.

Media Effects

Thinking about the Hypodermic Needle Theory: What in


the content of The Walking Dead may cause concern over
its effect on the audience and why?
Because people that are watching the show might actually think
that a zombie apocalypse is happening and that it is all real. This is
due to the theory being involved with passive viewer that believe
everything that the media tells them.

Regulation

Use the Internet to discover the regulation in place on The


Walking Dead.
Consider how/when it is broadcast on TV and how it is
regulated in DVD form. Also state who puts this regulation
in place.
Television
Ofcom would regulate the
show when it is being show
on TV. Therefore they need
to make sure that the show
wont offend people too
much and that it is on after
watershed which means it
cant go on after 9:00pm
due to the age rating.

DVD
Adverts need to fit the
target audiences who are
purchasing the dvds and the
Advertsing Standards
Authority would have to
make sure that the adverts
are appropriate for people of
all ages to see and make
sure theres nothing else
that will offend people like
racism or sexism. Also the
BBFC (Britisj Board of Film
Classifiaction) would have to
classify it by giving it an age
rating and let people know
what is included in it to give
it that age rating.
