As you read and worry and act in response to the attack on our democratic values and
institutions, the Northampton Democratic City Committee (NDCC) is stepping up
to model the national transformation we need to make it happen. Join us as we launch
this course of making the Democratic Party an engine for grassroots resistance.
Part 1: 6:00 -7:30 pm, pizza provided, will be the full Committee meeting, which will
include discussion of the role of the local Democratic Party and what it means to
revitalize it from the bottom up.
Part 2: 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm, will be the Caucus meetings, which will include an
explanation of the 2017 Massachusetts Democratic Convention and its relevance to the
Trump resistance, as well as the selection of delegates to represent each City Ward at the
convention.
You are welcome to join all or part of any part.
You are welcome no matter whether or not you identify as a member of the Democratic
party (although running and voting for the delegates is limited to Northampton
residents registered as Democrats as of February 15th. You can register or change your
party affiliation easily at City Hall).
You are welcome if you want a place to go right here in Northampton to get connected to
the larger change we must make happen.
If you attended the Dec. 19th forum at JFK Middle School forum and are wondering
"what's next?" this is it.
Our bottom-up unity is everything as we fight back. Let's deliver it to the Northampton
Democratic City Committee and make it the leader it deserves to be, from our city to our
state to our nation.
See you on the 15th!
