TITLE: Design a NOT Gate (Inverter) Using L-Edit Software.

Objective: Learn how to use L-Edit software to draw the layout of the gate Inverter.
Equipment :
1. L-Edit Software
2. Attachment.

Method:
Draw a layout diagram of the inverter gate using L-Edit software.
(i) Draw a layout for a CMOS inverter as shown in Figure 1. Do not forget to write port VDD, VSS,
in, and out. Port should be drawn only in one dimension (lines) only.
(ii) Make sure the layout free of any error by doing DRC (Design Rule Check.)
(iii) Name the layout (called cells) that you have drawn in the name of INV. Click Cell | Rename....
(iv) Name the file that stores the name of INV cell inv.tdb. Click File|Save.

Question
Among other things, the report must include a layout that you created, cross sections, the number of
layers and the DRC file confirming that the layout no error.
