1]Stillness-

-Being aware of stillness means to be still. To be still is to be conscious with

out thought.
-You are never more essentially, more deeply, yourself than when you are still.
-When you are still, you are who you are beyond your temporal existence: conscio
usness which is
unconditioned by this world, formless and eternal.
-Every experience has three possible ingredients: sense perceptions, thoughts or
mental images,
and emotions.
-Try to percieve everything and everyone without naming, interpreting, judging o
r comparing.
-Observe and become aware of compulsive and unconscious naming.
-Focus on your ears and listen to any sounds that may be present.
Allow each sound to be as it is, without interpretation.

2]Consciousness-
-The need of the ego is the need to emphasize your form-identity.
-Whenever you relinquish one of these behaviour patterns, you become more truly
yourself.
To the ego it will seem as if you were losing yourself, but the opposite is the
case.
-"Lose yourself to find yourself"-Jesus.
-Being aware of emotions, thoughts, your body and your surroundings.
-Always make statements like this,
"I feel......[emotions] because.......[thought processes that lead to that feel
ing].
This feeling manifests itself in...[physical sensation]."

3]Role-playing vs Authenticity-
-When interacting with others, check if you are changing your behaviour internal
ly according to
your role in the situation or you are being authentic.
-Strive for authenticity.

4]Poise-
-The front of your body, especially your belly, is the place where your energy m
eets the energy
of the world. When the front of your body is open and relaxed, your power flows
freely, and
your presence fills the room. Your belly and lower abdomen are special places o
f power.
-Open the front of your body so your chest and solar plexus are not tense.
-Breathe down through your chest and solar plexus, deep into your belly.
-Throughout the day, as soon as you feel tension in the front of your body,
inhale into that area and open it.

5]Abundance-
-The source of abundance is not outside of you.
-You cannot receive what you don't give.
Soon, after you start giving, you will start receiving.
-Whatever you think people are withholding from you- praise, appreciation, love,
compassion and
so on- give it to them.
-You don't need to own anything to feel abundant, although if you feel it consis
tently, things
will almost certainly come to you.

6]Addictions-
-To be unable to feel the very life that you are, is the greatest deprivation th
at can happen.
-You then begin to look out for substitutions for that natural state of well-bei
ng and to
cover up that continuous sense of un-ease that you feel.
Some of the substitutes that people seek out are excessively loud music, thrill
s, drugs, junk
food, or an obsession with sex.
-When the compulsive need arises inside, take three deep beaths.
-Feel that need consciously to act out that behaviour.
-Catch any and all thoughts that try to justify the addictive behaviour.
-Take a few more conscious breaths and you may find that the urge has disappear
for the moment.
-[Even if it still overpowers you, don't make it into a problem. Just practice a
wareness and
addictive pattern will weaken overtime and eventually dissolve.]
-Take two or three deep and conscious breaths and try to detect a SUBTLE sense o
f aliveness
that pervades your entire body. Then become aware of your entire body as a whol
e.

7]The Three Modalities-

-The modalities of awakened doing are acceptance, enjoyment and enthusiasm.
-If you are not in the state of either acceptance, enjoyment and enthusiasm, loo
k closely and
you will find that you are creating suffering for yourself and others.

8]Acceptance-
-Whenever you cannot enjoy doing, you can atleast accept that this is what you h
ave to do.
-"For now, this is what this situation, this moment, requires me to do and so I
do it
willingly.
-Consider activities that you hate or detest doing. Either accept them or stop d
oing them.

9]Enjoyment-
-Enjoyment as a motivating power behind your actions.
-When you make the present moment the focal point of your life, your ability to
enjoy what you
do and the quality of your life increases dramatically.
-The "waiting to start living" syndrome is one of the most common delusions of t
he unconscious
state. Don't ask your mind for permission to enjoy what you do.
-The misperception that joy comes from what you do is not only normal but also d
angerous
because it creates the belief that joy is something that can be derived from th
e world. This
is why many people live in constant frustration because the world is not giving
them what they
think they need.
-Joy does not come from what you do, it flows into what you do and thus into thi
s world from
deep within you.
-Some people who, through creative action, enrich the lives of many others simpl
y do what they
enjoy doing most without wanting to achieve or become anything through that act
ivity. But
don't let it go to your head.
-You are still an ordinary human, what is extraordinary is what comes through yo
u into this
world.
-Consider activities that are uninteresting, boring, tedious, irritating or stre
ssful.
Whenever you are engaged in those activities, let them be a vehicle for alertne
ss.
Be absolutely present in what you do and sense the alert, alive stillness withi
n you in the
background of the activity.

10]Enthusiasm-
-There is another way of creative manifestation that may come to those who remai
n true to their
inner purpose of awakening. Suddenly, one day they know what their outer purpos
e is.
This is where the third modality of awakened doing arises:enthusiasm.
-Enthusiasm means there is deep enjoyment in what you do plus the added element
of a vision.
-When you want to arrive at your goal more than you want to be doing what you ar
e doing, you
become stressed.
-When there is stress, it is usually a sign that the ego has returned. Instead,
there is only
the force and strain of egoic wanting, and so you have to "struggle and work ha
rd" to make it.
-"Nothing great has ever been achieved without enthusiasm"- Ralph Waldo Emerson.
-The word enthusiasm comes from ancient Greek- enthousiazein meaning "to be poss
essed by god."
-Sustained enthusiasm brings into existence a wave of creative energy and all yo
u have to do
then is "ride the wave".
-Make sure your vision or goal is not an inflated image of yourself and therefor
e a concealed
form of ego, such as desiring fame, money, power, etc. These are all static goal
s and
therefore, do not empower you.
-Make sure your goals are dynamic, that is to say, point towards an activity tha
t you are
engaged in and through which you are connected to other human beings as well as
to the whole.
So instead of seeing yourself as "successful", see yourself inspiring countless
people with
your work and enriching their lives.
