Information on filming in Cambridge

Please send initial enquiry to market.management@cambridge.gov.uk

with dates, times etc. of filming request.

We do not issue permits for filming in Cambridge so no fee is charged. We do ask

that you adhere to certain requests. There are charges for road closures or use of
car parks for filming.

1. No cables on the highway.

2. Do not obstruct the public highway (Paths)

3. Do not block fire exits or entrances into buildings.

4. Ask permission to film any frontage of shops/businesses. Any business in Kings

Parade from Benet Street to St Edward Passage will need permission from the
landowners, Corpus Christi College, Bursar 01223 338022.

5. Keep the amount of staff/actors to a minimum at any one time.

6. If filming on private property/land ask permission of the landowners.

7. If filming on the Market Square ask permission from the Market Management
Team, market.management@cambridge.gov.uk tel. 01223 457466/7.

8. If bringing a vehicle into the City Centre ask permission from Parking Control at
Cambridgeshire County Council, Parking Permits,
parkingcontrol@cambridgeshire.gov.uk tel. 01223 727914/5 or 727920.

9. For permission to place objects on the highway contact Evan Laughlin at the
County Council, evan.laughlin@cambridgeshire.gov.uk

10. If wanting to film in the Car Parks contact, Sean Cleary, Operations Manager, Car

11. If filming on parks/open spaces in the city ask permission from Alistair Wilson,
Green Spaces Manager on 01223 458514, alistair.wilson@cambridge.gov.uk or
Anthony French on 01223 458521, anthony.french@cambridge.gov.uk

12. If filming on the river ask permission of the Cam Conservators, 01223 863785 or
river.manager@camconservators.org.uk

13. In requiring a road closure contact street.works@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or call

0345 045 5212 a minimum of 12 weeks notice is required.
