INDIVIDUAL LESSON PLAN

Make a copy for your group and complete. You may look at examples on the internet. Remember
there is an example in your folder. Be as detailed as possible. Must be an Art lesson for any
elementary grade that you choose. You will teach this to the class. Group of 3-4 must work in a
different group then you have in previous projects.

Title: O Christmas Tree candy bag Craft

Subject: Art

Grade: kindergarten

Objectives:
Goals are as follows for this project:
- Have all students interact with one another
- Be creative and let their minds be original
- Judge their own and others and compare everyones projects
to explore other ideas

Materials Needed: brown paper bags, glitter glue, cotton balls,


buttons, christmas ribbon, candy, markers and anything else that you
want to let your kids decorate their bags with

Brief Description:
The students will show their artistic skills in decorating a christmas
bag for their christmas candy.

Instructional Strategies/Activities:
1. pass out paper bags to students
2. Distribute craft materials to students
3. Present slide show with instructions to students
4. begin decorating paper bag
5. make sure to walk around to students and watch what they care
doing carefully
6. help students if they need help
7. when bag is done decorating have students line up to have
candy put in their bags
8. put candy in the childrens bags
9. pick up all trash and throw away properly
10. clean up and put all materials back where they belong
11. have children seated with their bags

Assessment: To assess the students skills in decorating and


creating a goody bag for christmas

Technology used: powerpoint to demonstrate how to make the bag
