Miss Amatto’s Grade 1 ?
GRADE 1A News!
In reading this month, our class just started doing guided reading groups with Miss A! This will help
student comprehension of text, fluency, and help with reading strategies to decode unknown words, at
your child’s level. Thank you for your support, with reading at home! The students have grown so much
since September with your help at home! Please continue to read with your child, and record the books in
their reading duotang,

Social Studies: we continue to team
about living in communities, and how to become
active, contributing members within our society!
Students just learned important vocabulary
terms, including “cooperation, and
contributing.”
Religion: Our class is learning about the
Sacrament of Baptism, including the signs,
symbols, and traditions of Baptism. Our next
topic of study will be the Season of Lent. To
support your child’s understanding, itis a good
idea to talk to your child about their Baptism,
and any stories/memories that you may have
from their Baptismal celebration.
