Note and Rest Pyramid

This document outlines the standard note and rest values in Western musical notation arranged in pyramid structures. At the top of each pyramid are the longest note/rest durations - the whole note and whole note rest. Each subsequent level shows notes/rests that are half as long in duration as the level above, with thirty-second notes and rests at the bottom as the shortest standard durations.
