Sri Sai Ram Institute of Management Studies (Sri Sai Ram Engineering College)
established in the year 1998, with motto of 'Prosperity through Innovative Management'
offers the Post Graduate Management Programme leading to award of Master of Business
Administration degree by the Anna University of Technology, approved by the AICTE and
the Government of Tamil Nadu.

Dalal Street Journal Mumbai has rated SIMS as one among the top 100
Management Institutes in India for three consecutive years. SIMS is rated as A2 category
institute for the year 2011 by All India Management Association. Besides our institute was
also categorised as one of the A + Management institutes in the country survey conducted
by Business India for the year 2010. Our institute has also been awarded Best B-School in
Tamil Nadu by Big Brands Research Academy for its excellence in Management Education.

SIMS is well equipped with modern facilities such as syndicate room, conference
hall, computer centre, audio and video facilities and a library with latest books, National
and International refereed journals. Our institute is publishing Sankhya International
Journal of Management and Technology and M-Infiniti National Journal of
Management, which facilitates the research scholars and academicians to extend their
contribution for publication of research articles with social relevance and to expand the
horizons of our endeavours to promote the vital significance of research.

CONFERENCE THEME
The competence of corporation, which is essential in corporate's sustainable
development and competitive advantage, has been becoming a new view and issue since
1990s. The concept of 'competence' is a powerful one for businesses' strategic
development and competitive advantages. It drives restructurings, divestitures, mergers
and strategic partnerships to enhance new levels of profitability and shareholder value.
Dynamic competencies are sources of innovation and sustainable development.
Sustainable development is the key factor for the realistic growth of all businesses. It
is a way of achieving present growth without compromising the future availability of
existing resources. So the goal for any business is to focus attention on competencies that
really affect and offer competitive advantage for sustainable development.The various
methods and competency strategies to be made in all spheres in order to achieve equitable
and sustainable development in organizations are to be explored in detail in the
conference.

It is a platform for research scholars, academicians, corporate executives and entrepreneurs from tiny,
small, medium and large scale and MNCs to share their ideas and expertise. It is also an excellent
opportunity to share the research findings of academia and industry, so that all will benefit from such a
conference.

DURATION, VENUE AND ACCOMMODATION

The conference starts at 9.30am on 22nd and ends at 5.30 on 23rd September, 2011. Venue of the conference
will be at Sri Sai Ram Institute of Management Studies. Accommodation on twin sharing on a first-come-
first-serve basis is available in the college hostel premises. There are adequate numbers of hotels of various
categories available in Chennai and the same can be arranged on prior request.

Last Date for submission of extended Abstracts : 25 August, 2011
Last date for submission of full paper : 5th September, 2011
(Note: Best research papers in each session will be presented with Merit / Award certificates.

All the selected papers for presentation will be published in a Book Volume with ISBN number and the Best
Research Papers will be published in refereed National and International Journals.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE (Electronic Submission)

All papers and abstracts must be submitted in MS Word with single space in A- 4 size in Times New Roman
font with 12 point size. The papers for the conference should be sent in the prescribed format by electronic
mail only.

Titles, Authors' Name, Affiliated Institution and Address for Communication should be clearly mentioned
in the paper. Hard copies can also be submitted preferably by courier along with CD.

?Foreign Delegates : $ 100

Author and co-author of accepted papers should register and pay the registration fee for the conference
separately. The DD should be drawn in favour of Saiman Association, payable at Chennai. The fee
includes conference proceedings, kit and refreshment, no T.A. / D.A. will be given to the delegates.
