Dear Parents,

On Feb. 14-16th, all Gr. 2 students will be participating in a Scientists in the School
workshop, Get Moving with Toys. This interactive program covers key scientific
concepts related to simple machines. Students will discover how simple machines
make work easier. They will construct their own car (wheels and axes), go fishing
(experiment with levers), and explore wedges, inclined planes, and screws in real-world,
fun investigations.

The cost of this workshop is $10 and must be paid on School Cash Online

which is a 24 hour help line.

To run the workshop we need parent volunteers! If you are able to donate
your time (no science experience necessary!) and have a criminal record check on
file we would greatly appreciate your help! It is a lot of fun! The workshop takes place
at RDB.
