Click on a cell to select it. A border will appear
around the selected cell. Type the data.
Modify existing data
Double-click on the cell,
Merge cells

Select adjacent cells by clicking and dragging.
In Excel 2003, select Format, then Cells. Click
on the Alignment tab in the Format Cells
dialogue box that appears. Click Merge Cells.
Click OK.
In Excel 2007, select the cells and then select
Merge Cells from the Merge & Center drop
down list on the Home ribbon.
Right-click on the row label and then click Insert
on the pop-up menu,
Add a column
Right-click on the column label and then click
Insert on the pop-up menu.
Delete a row or
column,
Right-click on its label and then click Delete on
the pop-up menu:
Resize rows and
columns
Drag the line that separates the row or column

You may also right-click on the row/column label
