The following is a summary of BPP activities in
the Charlotte Division:
During August, 1972, BRADFORD LILLY, one of the
“High Point 3" and BPP member, was released from North
Carolina State Prison on appeal bond. LILLY and two
pther BPP members were convicted of assault charges and his
bond was arranged by his brother, GARY LILLY, che was
operating independently of the BPP Chapter in order to
secure his brother's release.
Under the direction of BPP Leader LARRY LITTLE,
the Winston-Salem, N. C., BPP Chapter continued its efforts
to promde good will throughout the Black Conmunity with
another Community Surviva. Program held August 27, 1972.
With a turn out of one to two hundred area residents, it
is noted that the rally was considerably smaller than the
