Digital citizenship is the way you should act when using technology.

Teaching students

to act respectfully online is every important especially if you plan on using technology

the classroom. Web Literacy teaches students how to use as a tool. They should be able

to do this basic things and from there you can teach them to use technology to do

research, write paper, and collect data.

In class we discussed copyright laws and how it is important that we check if

anything in our presentations has a copyright. This is a very important lesson for

teachers because if were using resources in class that belong to others we could be in

legal trouble. For example our professor told us about YISD getting sued because the

teacher were making copies of a book. The district bought the book but not the rights so

they couldn't be making copies. Usually if its for educational porpoises an author will

allow you to use it but you have to take the time to ask.

Technological Pedagogical Content and Knowledge or TPACK is the relationship

that identifies the knowledge teachers need to teach effectively with technology. To learn

about TPACK we watched a video that described each area, then described the relations

between each area (TP, PC, TC) and finally how all three came together (TPCK). This

important to know as a future educator because we need each of this areas to successful

integrate technology into our classroom.

SAMR is a model designed to help educators infuse technology into teaching and

learning. This is important for us as futures educators because we might have the

knowledge from TPACK but we may not know to to implement it. By using the model

teachers can design, develop, and infuse digital learning experiences that utilize

technology.
