How many years at Fairview: 13 (One year was at the old Fairview School building)
Where you went to college: Wingate University with an associate degree in Business Management and an
Elementary Education degree
Why did you become a teacher? I enjoy working with kids and watching them learn new concepts. When I
was in elementary school I would play "teacher" and I would have my stuffed animals or pets be the
students. I had so much fun doing that!
Favorite thing to do outside of school: I love being with my family and going on trips together. We love to
visit new places. Many include a warm, sandy beach.
Most rewarding part of being a teacher: I love knowing that I am helping a child grow into a smart and
successful individual.
Favorite sport/team to watch on TV: I am not a big sports fan but I do enjoy watching our Carolina
Panthers.
Silliest fact about you: I love to tell my students stories about my adventures with my little dog, Bailey.

Volunteer Spotlight for February
Chasity Edwards
Chasity has a 3rd grader and has been volunteering in the
classroom since her daughter was in kindergarten. She is a
photocopy queen and is happy to conquer any task the
classroom teacher needs. This year she took on a new role
and is heading our Wonderful Wednesday committee.
She's done a great job organizing food and volunteers for
our luncheons. She will also be one of our Girls On The Run
coaches for the spring season!
THANK YOU!!!!!
