1. From the farm drive South to South Point. This is the southern most point in
the United States. Dive off a 30 foot cliff into the ocean or just look down int
o a beautiful cavern. Continue to drive to Green Sands Beach.
2. Stop in Naalehu for refreshments. Then pull off at the overlook for beautiful
photos.
3. Black Sands Beach is next then drive through the desert into the rain forest
at the Hawaii Volcano National Park. The volcano is active. While there see many
craters and even hike though one. Thurston Lava Tube is a must do. Drive about
another hour to the active lava flow.
4. Ahalanui natural swimming pool is also know as Millionaires Pond in Pahoa. Th
e Kilauea Volcano heats the water.
5. Stay a night in Hilo at the Naniloa Hotel. Check out the city using the guide
book as a reference.
6. Head North to Rainbow Falls then continue to Akaka Falls where the water fall
s 420 feet.
7. Next is incredible Waipio Valley. Great hiking
8. Drive to Hawi then to Pololu Lookout. Great hiking
9. Head South to Saddle Road and drive to Mt. Mauna Kea. The mountain is 13,796
feet above sea level. From the ocean floor Mauna Kea is the tallest mountain in
the world. It snows on the summit in the winter months.
10. Drive West to Queen Kaahumanu Hwy where there are many beaches. All hotels i
n Hawaii have public access to white sandy beaches.
11. Continue South to old Kailua-Kona town where Iron Man is hosted annually.
12. Take Alii Drive along the ocean back to the farm. Or if it is your last week
end drop the vehicle off at the airport and depart to your next location.
