I am directed to say thdt rule 3 of the All
India Services (~Doarnesa A1 lowance) Rules, 1972
5. stipulates that every member of the All India Services
is entitled to draw Dearness Allowarice at such rates
', and subject to such conditions as may be specified by
the Central Government from time to time in respect

This is irrespective of whether the officer concerned
is working in the State Government or is outside his

2. Ministry of Finance, Government of India, have

viz. Indian Adrninistrativa Service. Indian Police

Service and Indian Porest Service. It is only for the

sake of convenience and inPorrnation of all concerned
that we have beon forwarding the said letters of the
Ministry of Finance relating to the grant,of additional
instalments of Dearness Allowanc~ and the purpose is
that such orders are not Lost sight of lest the payment
of the said additional instalment of Dearness Allowance
should get unnecessarily delayed. I t has, however.
come to notice that some AGs have not been releasing
these instalrnents far want c ; receipt. of our letters
whereby, simply, the Ministry of ,Financeas orders on
the subject are forwarded.
