Subject: Payment of arrears on account of revision of pay scales to All India

Services (AIS) officers for the service rendered on central deputation
during the period from 1.1.2006 to 31.8.2008.

The undersigned is directed to say that a number of references from the

Ministries/Departments on the above mentioned subject have been engaging the
attention of this Department. After consideration of the matter, it has been
decided, in consultation with the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure,
that the concerned Ministries/Departments may make payment of arrears on
account of revision of pay-scales to All India Services officers for the period of
service rendered by them on central deputation between 1.1.2006 to 31.8.2008,
even though they have been repatriated to the concerned State Cadres on any
date during this period.

This issues with the concurrence of Ministry of Finance, Department of

Expenditure, vide U.O.NoA.2/14/2008-IC dated 18th February, 2009.
