Iron Man suit in US Army?

Imagine a brand new look over how soldiers would dress like during battles. Actually,
imagine a new uniform capable of delivering superhuman strength with greater ballistic
protection.
It's the superhuman suit that will turn special operations commandos into real-life Iron
Men. The U.S. military is developing a new uniform for troops that will be bullet-
proof, enhance the wearer's strength, heal wounds by temporarily stopping bleeding and
display the soldier's vital signs, called Tactical Assault Light Operator Suit, or TALOS -
named after the mythological Greek automaton made of bronze that Zeus assigned to
protect his lover Europa.
Despite previous weapons programs that came to little, officials say the technologies for the
ambitious project are not out of reach, even if they sound more like the stuff of myth or
movie.
Officials said the TALOS project is the brainchild of Admiral William McRaven, head of
special operations command. Im very committed to this' he said to a group of industry
representatives at a TALOS presentation in July. `Id like that last operator that we lost to be
the last operator we lose in this fight or the fight of the future, and I think we can get there.
The army is calling on research and development organisations, private industry as well as
government labs and academia to support the project. The US Army said it was likely that
scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology would be involved in the design as
already an MIT team is currently developing liquid body armour - made from fluids that
transform into a solid when a magnetic field or electrical current is applied.
As a conclusion, it is too early to estimate the costs, but using the new technology, TALOS
could raise the standards of fighting and of the protection of humans implicated in fight
and also it could get really close to the famous armour from the movie Iron Man.
