The strategy must recognise and build on good evidence for your work, your unique selling point and strengths of staff across the organisation, Importantly any bidding strategy must include explanation of the authority for critiquing the bid before submission and who has authority to make decisions, Remember that the content of bids — what you say you'll do — often becomes the basis for any contract, so it must be realistic and achievable, ‘Your strategy should also include a process for learning from bids both the ones that fail and the ones that work, This can include how will you get feedback from the commissioner/prime and will you seek other extemal advice to help you improve for next time, More information on how to write a bidding and tendering strategy will be covered in the Commercial Masterclass programme.
