Oracle 9i Client Installation Manual

1. Insert the Oracle 9i CD and Oracle9i Client Autorun(340 kb) will pop up or run setup.exe
from the cd and the welcome (next) window will pop up. On this window click Install/Deinstall
Products.
2. Click

2. Click Next on the welcome window.

3. On the Oracle Universal Installer: File Locations window, you can either accept the oracle name
and oracle path or you can modify the path to where you want to install the oracle. Click Next to
proceed with installation.
4. Click on the Oracle client checkbox and then click on Next
5. The summary window lists all the Oracle components that will be installed in your computer.
Click Install to start the installation.
6. The installation progress window will show the installation progress.

7. If it ask for SID value then enter -SID

8. The end of disk 1 will ask for disk2.

11. At the end of installation window click on Exit and then on Yes when it asks if you are sure.
If
Set permissions on the Oracle9i folder-

Go into the Security Tab

Click on Authenticated Users
Tick Allow for Full Control and Modify
Press Apply and then OK
