Thunder Bay This evening the Thunder Bay Catholic Elementary Teachers (OECTA)
voted to accept the local tentative agreement reached with the TBCD School Board on
Saturday February 11th, 2017.

We are pleased to finally have a settlement with the school board. says Aldo Grillo,
President of the Thunder Bay Elementary Unit of the Ontario English Catholic Teachers
Association (OECTA). And schools will be getting back to their regular routines.

The teachers very much appreciate the support we have received over these difficult
months. says Grillo.

The Thunder Bay Elementary Unit of OECTA represents approximately 380 members in
18 Catholic elementary schools in the City of Thunder Bay.

The Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association has only one more 2014-2017
collective agreement to negotiate with the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board.
The bargaining for the local Occasional Teachers will resume as soon as possible.
