2. Teacher 2. Impact on Learning - The Dewey


Artifact: Impact lesson, taught to classroom teachers and

4. Teacher/ 4. Book talk As a teacher, this creative

as an example of a collection to be
expanded upon for years to come.
Booktalks can not only be presented by
the media specialist but student patrons
as well. These presentations are an
effective practice to promote reading and
learn about the resources available

- As a Program Administrator, the
Facilities Floorplan provided me
with the learning opportunity to
maximize the use of media center
space for patrons of various age
groups and interest levels, and to
develop a learning environment
with sufficient functional spaces
for genre access and browsing,
and media center resources, such
as project-spaces. With this
experience, I was able to develop
settings within the floorplan that
are accessible and appropriate for
all library users with various
needs. This experience also
challenged me to plan the space
in a way that allows interesting
resources to be highlighted
throughout the facility.
