JAPANESE LANGUAGE PROGRAM FOR SPRING SEMESTER 2016

Integrated Japanese Language Program

International Student Center
Kanazawa University

Kanazawa University International Student Center offers Japanese Language Program

each semester throughout the academic year. This program is offered to all international
students who study in Kanazawa University.
Registration of the Integrated Japanese Language Program for the 2016 spring semester
will be from March 28 to April 28.
All students who wish to take a Japanese language courses must apply online through the
IJLP Course Enrollment System.
*If you will be taking the Japanese language courses for the first time, you must take the
orientation and placement test first.

Notes
We only accept online registration.
You cannot take the classes in this semester, if you have missed the deadline of enrollment.
Regular Students (undergraduate and graduate students) who need course credits as a "GS
(Japanese)" subjects of the Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences or other subjects which you
receive credits at each faculty you belong to should register for classes both in the IJLP course
enrollment system and also in the Acanthus Portal (university registration system,
https://acanthus.cis.kanazawa-u.ac.jp/) by the deadlines determined by each faculty.

Spring Semester 2016

April 11, 2016 (Mon.) August 5, 2016 (Fri.)
Orientation & Placement Test
If you will be taking the Japanese language courses for the first time, you must take the
placement test on one of the following days.
Time & Date: 1st session: 1:00-3:00, April 4 (Mon.) *Orientation for beginners
2nd session: 3:45-5:45, April 4 (Mon.)
Place: Lecture room 2, Information Media Center

Please be sure to bring your student ID card of Kanazawa University.

Students from Program D (Semester Program), Program E (KUEST) and Via Lactia Program
must take first session. Other students must take the second session.
Students who have never studied Japanese / who want to study in elementary-level must
take the first session.
Students who wish to take onlyJapanese for Faculty of Medicineneed not participate in the
orientation and the placement test.

Additional Placement test

An additional placement test will be given to those who have missed the placement tests
above.
Time & Date: 2:45 - 4:45, April 15 (Fri.)
Place: Lecture room 1, Information Media Center

Notes
If students have a valid reason why they could not submit an online application during the
application period, please contact the Ryugakusei-gakari (International Student Division) as
soon as possible. If the classes still have vacancies, we can accept your registration until
May 6 (except students who need course credits).
