Mr. Geuel F. Auste,

Its my first week of training in New World Makati, and I find those associates
whom Im working with as a good example. I started Tuesday because I had to
complete all the requirements to start the training. I chose Human Resources and
Front Office, as I said before on my interview or what we so called chat, I want to
work in the two parts of the hotel. The front and the back of the house. I want to
have my training on these two parts of the hotel to know how the hotel works or at
least experience working on two different phases so I could understand the
importance of each of these.

My first day of duty was in HR, apparently we didnt meet there because you
are in your long leave vacation. Sir Ed, Mam Badet, Mam Ice and other practicum
trainees assisted and accompanied me well. I thought all associates in HR in every
company took BS Psychology, I guess Im wrong. I enjoyed working in HR even
though we have a full loads of papers to do. Im glad Im able to help those
associates or our internal guest who seek help from HR. I was transferred in
Concierge last Saturday (May 9) for replacement, thats another responsibility to
take. Now Im dealing with guest face-to-face and I need to stand firm and wear
professionalism since Im directly in touch with them. My first day was half good and
half bad. Bad for me because I need to stand for 8 hours there, I think I need to be
used to it. A first timer you could say. I saw the beauty of the hotel when Sir Miguel
an associate in Concierge tour me for the familiarization, for me to be able to inform
our guest whenever they have a question.

It was so awesome to know there is someone who shared the same interest
with me, I learned lately that Mam Bernadette Del Prado read Rick Riordans Percy
Jackson and the Olympians series, The Heroes of Olympus Series and The Kane
Chronicles. Its just amazing.

I admire your beliefs in God. I enjoyed your story even though the training
room is a bit hot. A great man indeed. Looking forward to work with you in HR, Im
excited and a bit nervous whenever I have that thought. God Bless!
